Professional Development Opportunities at Illinois State University

This summer, the Teaching with Primary Sources program at Illinois State University is offering several professional development opportunities for classroom teachers, media specialists, teaching librarians, and support personnel. Participants will build the knowledge and skills needed to access and utilize digital primary resources from the Library of Congress. Participants will produce a standards-based learning experience using Library of Congress primary sources while earning 25 CPDUs or 2 ISU graduate credits. The dates of the workshops are listed below. To register for a workshop, please use the registration form on the back and send it via fax or email to the Teaching with Primary Sources office at Illinois State University.

*Please note that we are now offering a Level 2 course. You must complete Level 1 training before taking Level 2.

Level 1
Option A:  Level 1 face to face workshop - Monday, June 8 - Thursday, June 11 from 9-4 at Milner Library in room 164d

Option B:  Level 1 Online workshop requires 1/2 day training on Monday, June 8, from 4:30-7:30 and 1/2 day final session on Monday, July 13, from 9-11:30 at Milner Library in room 164d.  

Level 2         
Option C:  Level 2 Online workshop (prerequisite completed AAM or TPS Level 1) requires1/2 day training on Tuesday, June 9, from 4:30-7:30 and 1/2 day final session on Monday, July 13, from 1-3:30 at Milner Library in room 164d.
