Each week a different controversial topic currently in the news is presented. Every issue includes sections entitled Background, Chronology, Current Situation, Outlook, At Issue, Bibliography, and The Next Step. The At Issue section presents two sides of one aspect of the issue. A subject index is included.
Congressional Digest (JK 1 .C65 Floor 4 and Academic Search Premier)
Published ten times a year, each issue is devoted to one topic of major importance currently under consideration by Congress. The pros and cons are presented with four to six speakers for each side. Background information is also included.

Each month relevant full text articles covering key public policy issues impacting the nation are selected from major national and regional news sources and made available online. To browse the list of topics choose Databases and Article Indexes at the Milner Library website, then choose Congressional Universe through the Title Index search, and select Hot Topics in Congress.
