A Luncheon to Gather Milner Faculty Feedback on Supporting Scholarship and Research

Thursday, July 30th, 10:00am through 1:00pm

Alumni Center, Room 116

Goal for event: Provide an event to capture feedback from Milner faculty to learn how FRDC can better support the research and scholarship needs of its faculty. The committee hopes to gather needs and ideas from faculty and find solutions to be implemented by FRDC (or be referred to appropriate library/university body).

10:00 – 11:00 Small group discussions of talking points
11:00 – 11:30 Review issues raised in small groups
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch [catered by Margie Yoder] -- special thanks to Dean Elzy for graciously providing funds for luncheon
12:30 – 1:00    General discussion with focus toward next steps and solutions for principal issues raised

Federal Initiative projects are endorsed by the associate vice president for research, the provost, and the president of Illinois State.  Many of the federal initiatives are joint efforts with universities in other states, community colleges, corporations, associations, public school districts, nonprofit organizations, and state agencies.
