Semi-Centennial History of the Illinois State Normal University

Illinois State Normal University
Normal, Illinois (1907)

Semi-Centennial History of the Illinois State Normal University, 1857-1907, was the second published history of the institution.  The book documents the first 50 years of the institution, from 1857 to 1907.  Accordingly, the book is often referred to as the Jubilee History

Semi-Centennial History of the Illinois State Normal University was prepared under the direction of a committee of I.S.N.U. faculty appointed by university president David Felmley. Committee members selected John Keith to serve as editor of the work and William Bawden as Keith's assistant. Other committee members included O.L. Manchester (chair), Dr. Felmley (ex-officio), J. Rose Colby, and Manfred J. Holmes.
