Nursing Information: Statistics
Statistics are often included in journal articles and can be found by using an appropriate search strategy. For instance, statistics on heart disease can be found by selecting the nursing database CINAHL. Start at Milner Library’s home page. Click on find articles on your topic. Arrow down to select CINAHL. Enter Heart Disease. Click on Perform Search. Select the subject heading Heart Disease. If in doubt, select all subheadings. Now click on the More Limits Icon found on the bottom of the screen and arrow down to Publication Types. Within Publication Types arrow down until you see Statistics. Click on Statistics and click on Limit Search. This strategy will produce references to journal articles containing statistics. If you experience problems ask a librarian for assistance.
