What Will An Article Database Do For Me?

The database will give you a list of articles that match your search terms. Along with the title of the article, you may be given the following information:

Citation Citation  Although the database may not contain the full text of the article, the citation will provide the information that you need to find the article.
Abstract Abstract  It may also include an abstract or summary of the article's content. After reading the abstract, you know if the article will be useful for your topic.
Full text Full text  Many times a database will provide the complete text* of the article.
ilstu Find It If the full text is not available and this button is showing, you can click on this button. It will tell you how to find the full text, if it is available.

*If the database you are using doesn't provide the full text, use the ilstu button to look in other databases and the Milner Catalog. Ask a librarian for assistance if you aren't able to find either electronic or print copies.
