Two Types of Article Databases
Which article database to use depends upon your topic.

2. Subject Databases

If so, use a subject database. Subject databases specialize in a particular subject, and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples of subject databases and the kinds of articles they identify are:

Business Source Premier

Historical Abstracts
Covers the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America History and Life). Over half a million entries in all. Currently over 2,000 journals published throughout the world are covered in the database. Updated three times per year. Provides citations, abstracts.
PsycINFO
Covers journal articles, book reviews, dissertations in psychology and related fields. Updated monthly. Provides citations and abstracts as well as full-text of recent articles published in American Psychological Association journals.
