Remember, to select a database to search for articles: use find articles on your topic on Milner Library's home page.

If you need scholarly articles in a specific subject, go to the Databases & Article Indexes page and choose from the "Databases by subject" pull down.

Now you know how to search Periodical Abstracts, a general/multi-subject index. What about other article indexes? Won't they look different?

Yes. But once you've learned the basics, it will be like driving a car you've borrowed from a friend. You know that there's a switch to turn on the lights or the radio--you just need to locate the controls. Even though they may look different, article indexes have similar features. Check for help screens or Ask a Librarian.

Remember, you want to search the Milner Catalog for the journal title not the article title. The Milner Catalog includes information about what journals are available at Milner Library but not the titles of specific articles in those journals.
